TDEU Heroes are people we don't get to see that much in the public eye. They are working long hours to help their teams behind the scenes and sometimes are dedicated even more than the players. If you know a Hero, send us a message, and tell us about your nominee!
Mrs Kirsten Furboter got nominated by her team, the Lubeck Cougars, Germany. We usually collect the information and get statements, however, coach Willie Robinson did it for us!
"When I think of people who have truly made the world go around here in Lubeck I have to say Mrs. Kirsten Fürboter. From day 1 she has been there for our club. She manages the Cadet, Junior and senior teams here.
Whether rain sleet or snow you can see her getting off the bus walking to practice 1 hour in advance, not to mention she manages the homes of the imports as well as all of our affairs. 24-7 around the clock she is available.
When the time comes for our visa and medical appointments she is always there bright and early not to mention when I signed on with the Lubeck Cougars and when my wife came into town, the first thing she did was take my pregnant wife to get covered under my insurance. Before my wife ever comes into town her prenatal appointments are already set courtesy of Ms KiKi.
The interesting part about this all she has never missed a practice I hear in over 10years. What is most interesting is that she herself was once a German National Team Soccer star and later in her life she had a brain aneurism that has left her legally blind in one eye. Even with this being said there is not a Lubeck Cougar football event or game that she is not there rooting us on.
I love this lady! Every team needs a Ms. KiKi" - says coach Robinson.
