Croatia: Zagreb Patriots Finalized Their 2013. Signings!

UPDATE: UNFORTUNATELY, ZAGREB AND THEIR IMPORTS DIDN'T FINALIZE THE SIGNING DUE TO THE LACK OF BOARD COMMITMENT TO THE TEAM. BLANTON SIGNED WITH THE NOVI SAD DUKES OF SERBIA, AND ROME WILL BE CONTINUING HIS CAREER IN MOSCOW, RUSSIA.

 Zagreb Patriots will start their 2013. season as the first season with Robert Goff as the team president. And that's not all! - The Zagreb Patriots will be bringing in 4 imports and two coaches. 

Coach Mitchell, the Head coach who lead Patriots all the way to winning the Croatian National Championship, will be returning with a Defensive  coordinator  whose name is yet to be revealed. Also, Coach Mitchell is not the only one returning to Zagreb - Chris Blanton is back to continue what he started, and that's being the premiere running back.

However, Chris won't be alone! Leading him out of the back field will be Bobby Rome FB/QB, a North Carolina alumni who was at the camp with the Green Bay Packers in 2010. and played in the UFL for the Las Vegas Locomotives where he won two titles. Bobby Rome will also share his QB knowledge and skills with Marko Horvat, the Croatian native, who is expected to be an impact player this year along with TE Goran Maric. 

On the defensive side of the ball, Patriots will have a dominant force with Wesley Flagg, also a North Carolina Alumni, who played on the same team as Bobby Rome. Flagg was signed to the UFL's Las Vegas Locomotives team in 2010. but released due to having to compete with NFL vets. 

Williard 'Tuck' Ross, #22

Wesley Flagg is expected to control the middle and lead the linebacker core, while triple threat SS/FS/CB Willard Ross, also known as Tuck, from Troy University, playing on the same 5 time championship team as Chris Blanton, will lead the secondary. 

Willard Ross had lead Troy University defense to a R&L Carriers Bowl game win against Ohio in 2010. He will be a great asset to the secondary along with a core of DB's from the previous year.

Zagreb Patriots are very excited about the group of guys joining the Patriots Family and are expecting this season to be a very successful and productive one, with all of the guys on the roster giving 100% at practice and on Game day.
