This is the first year Serbia had a chance to see women playing flag football. First season is coming to an end in less than two weeks.

All total 7 teams participated in 2 groups - 4 in the North, 3 in the South division.

Southern division was a bit more relaxed - Kragujevac Wild Boars team - Wild Cats, managed to bring home all wins via three tournaments. Second spot was Kraljevo Royal Crowns, and third Obrenovac Hawks. Kragujevac and Kraljevo are off to the finals.

Northern division is the place where things got complicated. Teams showed what the game is all about -each tournament had its perks, where all teams had their good and bad moments. Each tournament had a different winner. Kikinda Mammoths team - The Orange Tribe unfortunately didn't make the race for the throphy.

Now, AFC Angel Duchesses of Novi Sad, Pancevo Panthers and Vukovi Belgrade - She-Wolves, had the same W:L score - 5:4. Point difference was the decision maker where Duchesses took the first place, and She-Wolves second - and are now preparing for the finals.

Belgrade She-Wolves are the only team that didn't get a chance to host a tournament, as the finals got transferred to Kragujevac.

It's interesting to mention that at some point it seemed some teams were playing rugby, but, other than that, some of the plays girls did were impressive. Panthers QB and WR were flawless, or Duchesses RB who couldn't be stopped. In order to develop the girls league, some time needs to pass, and as long as these teams are consistent on teaching the girls basics of football and fair play - success is guaranteed.

Final tournament will be in Kragujevac, October 27th, and TDEU will be there!
