TDEU Heroes: Hege Indresand, Team Management

TDEU Heroes are people we don't get to see that much in the public eye. They are working long hours to help their teams behind the scenes and sometimes are dedicated even more than the players. If you know a Hero, send us a message, and tell us about your nominee!

It's such a great honor to announce that Hege Indresand, Team manager/Athletic director of Kristiansand Gladiators (Norway) is officially a TDEU Hero!

Hege got nominated by Alexander Durazo, who was kind enough to share her story.

Alexander told us that Hege assisted the Gladiators U19 team back in 2013, and that she successfully launched the first Women's full tackle team. In 2014 she took over as assistant Athletic Director for the Gladiators, working side by side with Coach Brad Smith.

"Hege has been a major contributor to the success of the Norwegian Champions in 2014.", says Durazo, and continues: "She was also able to get a generous grant/donation to kick start the Women's team, as well as a contribution to the Senior team. She goes above and beyond in her role with the Glads and does this on a volunteer basis, doing everything from logistics, travel arrangement, gameday management, youth recruiting and being the Head coach for the Women's team."

We asked Durazo to go a bit more into details, and give us an actual example of her unconditional dedication.

"A particular example of her dedication was when the team hosted the playoffs this year and she stayed up late the night before the game to bake goods to be sold in the Kiosk. She is a stellar woman and a very big piece of the Gladiators success." says Durazo.

Ms. Indresand, you are a Hero!
