Russia: Moscow Patriots vs The Black Storm Semi-Finals, No Tebow

As you've already heard - Tim Tebow has been offered 1 million dollars to play for the Black Storm. However, he turned down the offer. Still, even with no Tebow around, the season must go on. Semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday, Sept 28th, kickoff 1pm.

This game will be the biggest game in the history of American football in Russia. Broadcast is scheduled via National TV, with the total amount of 21 cameras! Both teams are gearing up for this game by bringing lots of guys from EU, besides the American players who are already there.

We talked to the Moscow Patriots HC, John Trana, who gave us some insight about the game.

- These two teams meet in the last regular season game of the year. The Black Storm brought in 4 Americans and several European players. The game had 5 lead changes in the fourth quarter and on the last play of the game the Moscow Patriots missed a game winning field goal. The rematch will be the biggest game in the History of American Football in Russia and it will be televised on National TV with 21 cameras in operation. Both teams are bringing European players, where our team has guys from Serbia, Croatia, France, USA and.. of course, Russia. There has been a lot of media attention for this game because the Black Storm offered Tim Tebow $1 million to play in the game. He did reject the offer, but that has drawn a lot of attention to the game in America and throughout Europe. - says Coach Trana.
